If the Sun should singly (without being associated with any other planet) occupy the 5th house identical with Karkataka, there is possibility of the person concerned having children by a second wife. The same should be predicted if Mars or Venus be similarly situated. Saturn in such a position will give many children. The Moon or Mercury similarly placed will not give many while Jupiter in the Moon's sign identical with the 5th house will make the person concerned the father of many daughters.

(क) यदि सूर्य अकेला ही कर्क राशि में स्थित होकर पाँचवें घर में हो, या (ख) मंगल अकेला कर्क राशि में पंचम में हो, या (ग) कर्क राशि का शुक्र अकेला पंचम में हो, तो दूसरा विवाह करने पर पुत्र प्राप्ति होती है। यदि कर्क राशि में स्थित होकर शनि अकेला पंचम में हो तो बहुत पुत्र होंगे। यदि कर्क राशि का बुध अकेला पंचम में हो तो थोड़े पुत्र हों। यदि स्वराशि का चन्द्रमा पंचम स्थान में हो और चन्द्रमा के साथ दूसरा कोई ग्रह न हो तो भी थोड़े पुत्र हों। किन्तु यदि एकाकी (अकेला) बृहस्पति अपनी उच्च राशि में स्थित होकर पंचम में हो तो जातक के बहुत सी कन्या होती हैं।
