If a birth takes place in a Lagna which is the 5th or the 9th from the Adhana Lagna, it should be declared as through the effects of the native's good actions done in previous births. If benefics should occupy or aspect the Adhana Lagna, the person born will be endowed with long life, wealth and happiness.

जिस लग्न में गर्भाधान हुआ है उस लग्न से नवम या पंचम लग्न में यदि जन्म हो तो यह समझना चाहिये कि यह पुण्य कर्म का फल है। यदि आधान लग्न में शुभ-ग्रह बैठे हों या आधान लग्न को शुभ-ग्रह देखते हों तो जो बच्चा पैदा होता है वह दीर्घायु और ऐश्वर्यशाली होता है। जिस लग्न में गर्भ रहे उसको आधान लग्न कहते हैं।
