अब यह बात बताते हैं कि कितने रूप बल प्राप्त होने पर ग्रह को बली कहना। सूर्य को यदि ६½ रूप बल प्राप्त हों तो वह बली कहलाता है। चन्द्रमा ६ रूप बल मिलने से बली, और मंगल ५ रूप बल प्राप्त करने से ही बली समझा जाता है। इसी प्रकार बुध को ७ रूप, बृहस्पति को ६½, और शुक्र को ५½ रूप बल प्राप्त होने से वह बली कहलाता है।
