शौर्यपे बलिनि सद्ग्रहयुक्ते कारकेऽपि शुभभावमुपेते ।
भ्रातृ वृद्धिरथ वीर्यविहीने दुःस्थने भवति सोदरनाशः

If the lord of the 3rd house be strong and be associated with a benefic and if the Karaka of the Bhava (Mars) be strong and also posited in a benefic house, the prosperity of the brothers is indicated. But should he be weak or badly placed, there will be loss of brothers.

यदि तीसरे घर का मालिक बलवान् हो, सद्ग्रह के साथ हो और भ्रातृ-भाव का कारक भी बलवान हो और शुभ-भाव में बैठा हो तो भाइयों की वृद्धि होती है। किन्तु यदि कारक और तीसरे घर का स्वामी निर्बल हों और दुःस्थान में बैठे हों तो भाइयों का नाश होता है।
