If at a birth the Moon be in the 4th house, the person concerned will be happy and indulging in sensual pleasures. He will be liberal in gifts, will have friends, vehicles and become renowned. If the Moon should occupy the 5th house, the person born will have good sons, will be very intelligent, will walk gently and will become a minister. If the Moon be in the 6th house, the person born will be short-lived, ignorant, will suffer from stomach-ache, etc.; he will also suffer humiliation. If the Moon should occupy the 7th house, the person born will be agreeable to look at, will be loved by a beautiful damsel, and will be exceedingly lovely.

यदि चतुर्थ भाव में चन्द्रमा हो तो जातक सुखी, भोगी, त्यागी, अच्छे मित्रों वाला, सवारी के सुख को प्राप्त और यशस्वी होता है। यदि पंचम में चन्द्रमा हो तो मृदु-गति वाला, मेधावी (बुद्धिमान्) और अच्छे पुत्र वाला हो; ऐसा व्यक्ति राजा का मन्त्री होता है। यदि छठे में चन्द्रमा हो तो मनुष्य अल्पायु, बुद्धि-हीन और उदर-रोगी हो और परिभव (अपमान या हार) को प्राप्त हो। यदि सप्तम स्थान में चन्द्रमा हो तो स्वयं सौम्य और सुन्दर हो और श्रेष्ठ पत्नी का प्यारा हो (अर्थात् उसकी पत्नी भी बहुत सुन्दर हो और पति-पत्नी में प्रेम भी हो)।
