If Jupiter occupy the 9th house at a person's birth, he will become a famous minister, will be endowed with wealth and children and will be anxious to do virtuous acts. If Jupiter should be in the 10th house, the person born will follow the right course of conduct, will be renowned for his virtues, will become very rich and a friend of the king. When Jupiter is posited in the 11th house, the person born will be wealthy, fearless, will have a few children, will be long-lived and will be going in vehicles. If Jupiter be in the 12th house, the person concerned will be hated by others, will be foul-mouthed, will have no children, will be sinful, idle and a menial.

यदि नवम में बृहस्पति हो तो जातक धनवान्, पुत्रवान्, विख्यात, धर्म-कार्य के लिए उत्सुक और राजा का मन्त्री होता है। ऐसे व्यक्ति की धार्मिक कार्यों में प्रवृत्ति रहती है और शुभ कर्म करने में तत्पर रहता है — इसी कारण उसे धर्म-कार्य में उत्सुक कहा। यदि बृहस्पति दशम भाव में हो तो जातक अत्यन्त धनी और राजा का प्यारा होता है; ऐसा व्यक्ति उत्तम आचरण करने वाला और यशस्वी भी होता है। यदि ग्यारहवें घर में बृहस्पति हो तो मनुष्य धनिक, निर्भय और दीर्घायु होता है; ऐसे व्यक्ति के पास सवारियाँ भी होती हैं, किन्तु सन्तान थोड़ी होती है। यदि बृहस्पति बारहवें घर में हो तो ऐसे व्यक्ति से अन्य लोग द्वेष करते हैं और जातक स्वयं बुरे शब्द बोलने वाला, सन्तान-हीन, पाप-कर्मा, आलसी और सेवक (सेवा करने वाला) होता है।
