If the lord of a (Dusstthana) should occupy another house of his own, he will produce (in his Dasa) the effects of only that house occupied by him as (Swakshetra) and not the effects due to the (Dusstthana). For example, if Saturn should occupy Makara identical with the 5th Bhava, there will be the acquisition of sons, and the untoward effects due as owner of the 6th house will not happen.

यदि कोई ग्रह दो राशियों का स्वामी हो और एक राशि लग्न से शुभ-स्थान में हो और दूसरी राशि लग्न से दुःस्थान में पड़े और यदि ग्रह सुस्थान राशि वाले अपने घर में हो तब वह सुस्थान के स्वामी होने का शुभ फल देता है। दुःस्थान के स्वामी होने का अशुभ फल नहीं देता। उदाहरण के लिये यदि कन्या लग्न हो और शनि पंचम में मकर राशि का हो तो यद्यपि वह पंचमेश और षष्ठेश होने से आधा शुभ, आधा पाप होना चाहिये किन्तु मन्त्रेश्वर महाराज के इस श्लोक में बताये गये सिद्धान्त के अनुसार वह पंचम में स्वराशि में स्थित होने के कारण शुभ फल देगा और पुत्र-सिद्धि करायेगा। छठे घर के मालिक होने का दोष नहीं होगा।
