In order to ward off the evil effects enunciated above, the father should arrange for the performance of religious rites preceded by the incantations of Mantras and offerings of oblations by the pouring of ghee into consecrated fire on every birthday of the child till its 12th year; supplementing these with suitable medical treatments and the like, the life of the child must be promoted and the child protected.

ऊपर जो दोष बताये गये हैं उनकी शान्ति के लिये प्रतिवर्ष बालक की जन्म तिथि (नक्षत्र) के दिन (चान्द्र मास के हिसाब से) जप होम आदि से शान्ति करे। ऐसा १२ वर्ष की अवस्था तक करना चाहिये। बच्चे के पिता को यह भी उचित है कि चिकित्सा तथा अन्य आयु वृद्धि के साधनों द्वारा बालक की पूरी तौर से रक्षा करे।
