अथ दरिद्रयोगफलम् ।
निर्भाग्यो विलएन्द्रयो विषमढीर्दारात्मजैर्निन्दतो
भिक्षाशी विषमस्थितो विषमवाक् शिश्रोदरे तत्परः ।
अन्यायर्जनतत्परस्त्वनुदिनं मात्सर्यवाक् कण्टकी
नित्यं त्यात्परदारसक्तहृदयो नीचोऽन्धमूको जडः

nirbhāgyo vilaendrayo viṣamaḍhīrdārātmajairnindato
bhikṣāśī viṣamasthito viṣamavāk śiśrodare tatparaḥ |

nityaṃ tyātparadārasaktahṛdayo nīco'ndhamūko jaḍaḥ
