Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, the Sun, Venus, Mercury and the Moon are the planets arranged seriatim according to the length of the time they abide in the zodiacal signs. Rahu, whose position is at the topmost point of the Earth's orbit (ascending node), has predominating strength when he occupies a position below the planets above-mentioned, i.e. when he is before or to the east of them.
