SPECIAL RULES: The bhāvas occupied by Jupiter and Mercury will each get an addition of 1 rūpa while each of the bhāvas occupied by Saturn, Mars and the Sun suffer 1 rūpa reduction. 15 virūpas will have to be added to the bhāvas falling in Śīrṣodaya rāśis if birth happens to be in day time, to the bhāvas falling in dual (or common) rāśis if birth happens to be in twilight, and to the bhāvas falling in Pṛṣṭodaya rāśis if birth be in night.

षड्बलैक्य में बली-निर्णय: सूर्य का कुल षड्बल-योग 390 कला, चन्द्र 360, मंगल 300, बुध 420, गुरु 390, शुक्र 330, शनि 300 कला रहने पर ये ग्रह 'सुबली' (सन्तोष-जनक) तथा इससे अधिक रहने पर 'पूर्णबली' होते हैं — ये कलाएँ मध्य-बल व पूर्ण-बल की सन्धि-सीमाएँ हैं (मध्य-बल की चरम-सीमा व पूर्ण-बल की आरम्भ-सीमा)।
