TRIBHĀGA BALA: One rūpa is obtained by Mercury (if birth is) in the first one-third part of day time, by the Sun in the second one-third part of the day and by Saturn in the last third part of the day. Similarly, the Moon, Venus and Mars get full strength (of one rūpa) in the first, second and last one-third parts of the night. Jupiter gets this strength at all times.
