There will be danger from snakes, thieves, wounds, loss of power of thinking, headache, agony, quarrels without any cause or reason, diabetes, excessive expenditure, antagonism with wife and children, going away to foreign land, loss in ventures, if Ketu be in the 8th or the 12th from the lord of the Dasa (Venus) or be associated with a malefic.

दितीयद्यूननाथे तु देहबाधा भविष्यति । तददोषपरिहारार्थं मृत्युंजयजपं चरेत्‌ ।।72।। छागदानं प्रकुर्वीत सर्वसम्पत्प्रदायकम्‌ । शुक्रप्रीतिकरीं शान्तिं ततः सुखमवाप्नुयात्‌ ।।73।। यदि केतु 2.7 भावेश के साथ सम्बन्ध करे तो शरीर कष्ट होता है। दोषदूरीकरणार्थ, मृत्युंजय जप, मेषदान तथा शुक्र की शान्ति (दुर्गापाठ आदि) भी करने से सुख-सम्पत्ति मिलती है।
