DISEASES IN GENERAL: If the ascendant is occupied by the lords of the 6th and 8th along with the Sun, the native will be afflicted by fever and tumours. Mars replacing the Sun will cause swelling and hardening of the blood vessels and wounds and hits by weapons. Mercury so featuring will bring in bilious diseases while Jupiter in similar case will destroy any disease. Similarly Venus will cause diseases through females, Saturn windy diseases, Rāhu danger through low-castemen and Ketu navel diseases. गण्डादि-रोग-योग: यदि लग्न में षष्ठेश व अष्टमेश सूर्य के साथ हो — तो जातक को बार-बार ज्वर होता है। यदि मंगल के साथ हो — तो गाँठ या शस्त्र की चोट का घाव होता है। यदि 6.8 भावेश लग्न में बुध के साथ हो — पित्त-रोग; गुरु के साथ हो — रोग का अभाव (अथवा पाठान्तर से ओव या दस्त आदि) होता है।
