Malefics occupying the ascendant and the 7th while the Moon is conjunct a malefic with no relief from a benefic — also causes premature death. Early death will be inflicted if decreasing Moon is in the ascendant while malefics capture the 8th and an angle. The Moon in the ascendant/8th/12th or the 7th and hemmed between malefics will confer premature death. Should the Moon be in the ascendant hemmed between two malefics while the 7th or the 8th has a malefic — the child will face immediate death along with its mother. Saturn, Sun and Mars in the 12th/9th/8th without benefic aspect — instant death. Malefic in the 7th house or in the rising decanate while decreasing Moon is in ascendant — early death. The life span of the child will be either 2 months or 6 months only, if all planets devoid of strength are relegated to Āpoklima houses (3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th).

(अ) शनि-मंगल-सूर्य ये तीनों शुभ-ग्रहों से अदृष्ट होकर 8-9-12 में कहीं हों — बालक की मृत्यु (वराह: लग्न में चन्द्र भी; क्रम — चन्द्र लग्न में, शनि 12वें, सूर्य 9वें, मंगल 8वें)। शुभ-दृष्टि न हो तभी मृत्युप्रद — विशेषतः गुरु बलवान् हो तो मृत्यु नहीं देगा। (आ) लग्न-कुण्डली व द्रेष्काण-कुण्डली में एक साथ सप्तम में पाप, लग्न में क्षीण चन्द्र — तुरन्त मृत्यु। वैकल्पिक अर्थ: उदय-द्रेष्काण में क्षीण चन्द्र व सप्तम-भावगत द्रेष्काण में पाप-ग्रह। (इ) सभी ग्रह निर्बल होकर 3-6-9-12 (आपोक्लिम) में हों — 2 या 6 माह का जीवन।
