The effects like death, distress to wife and children, loss of lands, wealth and cattle and danger of a war etc., will be experienced, if the Moon be in his sign of debilitation or in his enemy sign or be in the 6th, the 8th or the 12th from the Ascendant or the lord of the Dasa (Mars). There will be possibility of premature death, distress to the body and mental agony, if the Moon be the lord of the 2nd or the 7th. The remedial measures to be adopted to obtain relief from the above evil effects, are recitation of mantras of the Goddess Durga and the Goddess Lakshmi.

यदि चन्द्रमा नीचगत, शत्रुक्षेत्री, 6, 8 मे या दशेश से 6, 8 में हो तो स्त्री पुत्रादि की मृत्यु, भूमि की हानि, पशुधन की हानि, चोरभय, मरणभय होता है । यदि चन्द्रमा 2, 7 भावेश हो तो अपमृत्यु का भय होता है । देह में शिथिलता, मानसिक कष्ट भी होता है । शान्ति के लिए दुर्गा व लक्ष्मी जी का पाठादि करना चाहिए ।
