The Sage said — O Maitreya! Now I will describe to you the remedial measures to be adopted to ensure relief from the evil effects of Jyestha Gandanta. The erection of a canopy (मण्डप), installation of Kalasha, selection of a priest etc., will be done in the same manner as has been recommended for the Abhukta Moola in the previous chapter. In this ceremony Indra will be the Deity-in-chief, Adhideva will be Agni (Fire) and the Pratyadhideva will be Rakshasa.

यथाशक्ति सुवर्णेन वित्तशावयं न कारयेत्‌ — इन्द्रायेन्दो मरुत्वते इति मन्त्रेण मन्त्रवित्‌ — गन्धपुष्यर्धूपदीपैन निभक्ष्यनिवेदनैः । । 4-5 । सामर्थ्यानुसार सुवर्ण से मूर्ति बनाएं — लोभ न करें । 'इन्द्रायेन्दो मरुत्वते' मन्त्र से गन्धाक्षत पुष्पादि व भोज्य पदार्थों से लोकपाल समेत इन्द्रादि की पूजा करें । मन्त्र — इन्द्रायेन्दो मरुत्वते पवस्य मधुमत्तमः — ऋतस्य योनिमासदम्‌ ।
