SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR SATURN'S ASPECTS: O Brahmin, if Saturn is the aspecting planet find out the difference between him and the aspected planet; if the sum is above 1 sign, multiply the degrees etc. (ignoring sign) by 2 to get Dṛṣṭi value. If the sum is above nine signs, the degrees to elapse be doubled to get aspectual value. If the sum is above 2 signs, the degrees etc. (in excess of 2 signs) be halved and deducted from 60. If the sum exceeds 8 signs, add to the degrees etc. a figure of 30 to get Dṛṣṭi value. In other cases, the sums be processed as explained earlier.

(शनि-संस्कार:) यदि द्रष्टा शनि हो — और अन्तर करने पर 1 राशि शेष बचे तो राशि-रहित अंशों का दुगुना करें; 9 राशि शेष हो तो राशि के आगे के अंशों को 30 में से घटाकर शेष को दुगुना करें (एकभे नवभे भागा भुक्ता भोग्या द्विसंगुणाः)। यदि 2 राशि शेष हो तो भुक्तांशों का आधा 60 में से घटा लें (द्विभेंऽशार्धोनिताः षष्टिः); यदि 8 राशि शेष हो तो भुक्तांश में 30 जोड़ने से स्पष्ट दृष्टि होती है (अष्टभे खाग्निःयुक्‌ लवाः)।
