DVIṢAPTATI-SAMA DAŚĀ: This Daśā system is considered suitable in cases where the lord of the Ascendant is in the Ascendant or the 7th. Count from Mūla to the Janma Nakshatra and divide the number by 8. The remainder will determine the Daśā lords in the following order: the Sun, the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and Rāhu (Ketu has no Daśā). In this Daśā system all the eight planets have Daśā of 9 years each, totaling 72 years.

श्रवण नक्षत्र से जन्म नक्षत्र तक गिनकर आठ का भाग दें — शेष संख्यानुसार क्रमशः चन्द्रमा, सूर्य, बृहस्पति, मंगल, बुध, शनि, शुक्र और राहु दशेश होते हैं। सब ग्रहों के दशावर्ष एक से प्रारम्भ कर क्रमशः होंगे।
