ŚATĀBDIKĀ DAŚĀ: This Daśā system has been considered appropriate if the Ascendant is Vargottama (when the ascendant in the Rāśi chart and the Navāṁśa ascendant are in the same rāśi). Count from Revatī to the Janma Nakshatra and divide this number by seven. The remainder will indicate the lords of Daśās in this order — the Sun, the Moon, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Mars and Saturn. Their Daśās in the same order will be of 5, 5, 10, 10, 20, 20 and 30 years (Rāhu and Ketu do not have a place in this Daśā system), totaling 100 years.

यदि लग्नेश सप्तम में अथवा सप्तमेश लग्न में हो तो द्विसप्तति (72) समावर्षा दशा का विचार करना चाहिए।
