KENDRĀDI DAŚĀ: In this system there are Daśās of fixed signs in the kendra etc. from the Ascendant or the 7th house, whichever is stronger. If the Ascendant or the 7th with strength be in an odd sign the kendra etc. are counted in the onward order. If it be in an even sign the counting will be in the backward or reverse order. In them also the Daśās would be in the order of comparative strength of the signs. The order of Daśās would be the same as reckoned from the Ātmakāraka. The spans of Daśās would be the same as they are in the Cara Daśā. In calculating the years of Daśās of planets counting is done from the planet to his own sign. The years of Daśās would be the number arrived at by counting up to the sign of the planet which is stronger or more in number.

लग्न और सप्तम में जो राशि बलवान् हो, उससे केन्द्रादि में स्थित राशियों का बलक्रम से दशा होती है। कारक से भी राशियों और ग्रहों की इसी प्रकार दशा होती है। दशा-वर्ष चर-दशा के समान जानना चाहिए।
