DAŚĀ-EFFECT MAGNITUDES BY DIGNITY: Acquisition of kingdom (attainment of a high position in government), enjoyment and acquisition of more property are the effects of the whole Daśā of a planet who is in deep exaltation and is fully equipped with strength. There will be acquisition of wealth, opulence and glory, with some possibility of affliction with disease, are the effects of the Daśā of a planet placed in his sign of exaltation. The Daśā of a planet in own Navāṁśa is called Tikta (void). Disposition of a planet between exaltation and own sign yields full benefic results. Some adverse effects mixed with good results are felt in the Daśā of the planet in exaltation but in the enemy's Navāṁśa. The Daśā of a planet in his Mūlatrikoṇa is called Madhya (of middle order) and yields moderately good results. The Daśā of a planet placed in his sign of debilitation, debilitated and enemy Navāṁśa is called Adhama (very evil) — dangers of various kinds, distress and sorrows are the results.
