The same would be the effects in the Daśā of the rāśi occupied by malefics like Rāhu etc. The association of a māraka planet with the rāśi at the time of commencement or end of its Daśā is not productive of good effects. If such planet be Rāhu there will be imprisonment or loss of wealth.

दशारम्भो दशान्तो वा मारके चेन्न शोभनम् । तस्मिन्नेव च राहुश्चेन्निरोधो द्रव्यनाशनः । (क) राहु की आश्रित राशि की दशा मे भी उक्त प्रकार से फल विचार करना चाहिए । (ख) दशारम्भ या दशान्त में यदि मारक राशि या मारकेश ग्रह का योग हो अर्थात् दशेश मारक राशि में गोचर करे या दशा राशि में मारकेश गोचर करे या उनमें राहु हो तो धनहानि तथा बन्धन व रुकावट होती है ।
