There will be loss of everything, imprisonment, death, exile from the country and great distress at the end of the Daśā of Rāhu. The above effects will definitely be realised if there be malefics in the 5th and the 9th from Rāhu. Beneficial and adverse effects should be predicted in this manner.

तत्त्रिकोणगते पापे निश्चयाद्दुःखमादिशेत् । एवं शुभाऽशुभं सर्वं निश्चयेन वदेद् बुधः । (क) राहु की दशा अर्थात् राहु की अधिष्ठित राशि, राहु या स्वराशि की दशा के अन्त मेँ सर्वस्व नाश, मृत्यु या बन्धन, देशत्याग या महान् कष्ट होता है । (ख) राहु राशि दशा से 1.5.9 में पाप ग्रह हों तो उस दशा में निश्चय से दुःख होता है । इस प्रकार राशियों की दशा (चर स्थिरादि) में शुभाशुभ फल का निश्चय करना चाहिए ।
