The Sage said — O Brahmin! I have already described the Cara etc. Daśās. Now I am going to tell you the effects of these Daśās. The effects of the Daśās of the rāśis should be judged from the strength of the lords of rāśis and whether they are benefics or malefics. If the lord of a rāśi possesses full strength, the effects of the Daśā of the rāśi will be realised in full. The effects of the Daśā will be of medium nature if the strength is medium. If the lord of rāśi possesses little strength, the effects will be experienced accordingly.

बलयुक्ते च राशीशे पूर्णं तस्य तदा फलम् । फलं मध्यबले मध्यं बलहीने विपर्ययः । पराशर बोले — पहले जो चर-स्थिरादि दशाएं कही हैँ उनका शुभाशुभ फल कहता हूँ । प्रत्येक राशि की दशा का फल राशिपति के बलाबल व राशि की भाव स्थिति से निश्चित होगा । साथ ही राशि में स्थित ग्रहों से भी भाव में तारतम्य रहेगा । पुनश्च राशि स्वामी के बलाबल से विशेष निश्चय होगा । यदि राशीश पूर्ण बली हो तो पूरा फल, मध्य बली से मध्यम फल और हीन बली से बहुत कम फल होता है ।
