Effects like unpalatable food, journeys to places away from the homeland, will be derived, if Jupiter be weak and be in the 6th, the 8th or the 12th from the Moon. There will be good effects at the commencement of the Antardasa and distress at its end. There will be premature death if Jupiter be the lord of 2nd or 7th from the Ascendant. Remedial measures for obtaining relief from the above evil effects are recitation of Shiva Sahasranam Japa and giving gold in charity.

तद्दोषपरिहारार्थ शिवसाहस्रकं जपेत् ॥31॥ स्वर्णदानमिति प्रोक्तं सर्वकष्टनिवारणम् । (i) दशेश से केन्द्र, त्रिकोण में या 3, 11 में हो तो भोजन, वस्त्रादि व वाहनों पशुओं का लाभ, सुख, भाइयों के सहयोग से लाभ, धीरता, पराक्रम बुद्धि, यज्ञादि धार्मिक कार्य, विवाहोत्सव, धनसम्पत्ति आदि प्राप्त होती है । (ii) यदि दशेश से 8, 12 में हो या गुरु निर्बल हो तो कुभोजन, विदेश गमन, अन्तर्दशा के प्रारम्भ में शुभ तथा अन्त में अशुभ फल होते हैं । (iii) यदि गुरु 2, 7 भावेश हो तो अपमृत्यु का भय होता है । इसकी शान्ति के लिए शिवसहस्रनाम का जप करना तथा स्वर्ण दान करना चाहिए । तब सब कष्ट दूर हो जाते हैं ।
