If, at a person's birth, the rising Navamsa be not a Vargottama one and be that of Aries, he will be a thief; if it be that of Taurus, he will enjoy life and not be able to hoard up anything; if it be that of Gemini, he will be learned; if it be that of Cancer, he will be rich; if it be that of Leo, he will be a king; if it be that of Virgo, he will be impotent; if it be that of Libra, he will be brave; if it be that of Scorpio, he will be a labourer carrying loads; if it be that of Sagittarius, he will be a servant; if it be that of Capricorn, he will do sinful actions; if it be that of Aquarius, he will be very cruel; and lastly, if it be that of Pisces, he will be without fear. In the case of a birth where the rising Navamsa being a Vargottama one happens to be that of Aries, Taurus, Gemini, etc., the person concerned will be the head of the respective classes mentioned above. The rising Dwadasamsas produce the same effects as the rising signs.

यदि किसी व्यक्ति के जन्म पर उदित नवांश वर्गोत्तम न हो और मेष का हो, तो वह चोर होगा; यदि वृष का हो, तो वह जीवन का भोग करेगा और कुछ भी संचय नहीं कर सकेगा; यदि मिथुन का हो, तो वह विद्वान होगा; यदि कर्क का हो, तो वह धनवान होगा; यदि सिंह का हो, तो वह राजा होगा; यदि कन्या का हो, तो वह नपुंसक होगा; यदि तुला का हो, तो वह साहसी होगा; यदि वृश्चिक का हो, तो वह भार ढोने वाला मज़दूर होगा; यदि धनु का हो, तो वह सेवक होगा; यदि मकर का हो, तो वह पाप-कर्म करेगा; यदि कुम्भ का हो, तो वह अत्यन्त क्रूर होगा; और अन्ततः यदि मीन का हो, तो वह निर्भय होगा। उस जन्म के मामले में जहाँ उदित नवांश वर्गोत्तम होकर मेष, वृष, मिथुन आदि का हो, सम्बन्धित व्यक्ति ऊपर उल्लिखित सम्बन्धित वर्गों का प्रमुख होगा। उदित द्वादशांश वही फल देते हैं जो उदित राशियाँ।
