Now the author deals with digbala—directional strength. Budha and Guru are strong in lagna, and their strength is nil in the seventh. Chandra and Shukra get one Rupa in the fourth and nil in the tenth. Sun and Mars are strongest in the tenth, while Saturn is very strong in the seventh. The directional strength of a planet elsewhere is to be calculated by the rule of three. The effects of the pli&ets are in proportion to their directional strength.
