Retrogression in Exaltation. If a planet is retrograde, while in exaltation, it produces no effect (nothing good will happen). This is the view held by some. Even, if it is in exaltation by its entry in retrograde motion from the next Sign (for example Jupiter entering Cancer from Leo), the effect is same, for it takes unduly long time in such trajectory.

यदि उच्च राशि में वक्री ग्रह हो तो अन्य आचार्यो के मत में फल नहीं होता; तथा उच्चराशि में अतिवक्र होने पर भी काल की अधिकता से फल होता नहीं ।।१४।
