आयुर्ज्ञानाभावे सर्व विफलं प्रकोनितं यस्मात् |
तस्मात्तज्ज्ञानार्थ रिष्टाध्यायं प्रवक्ष्यामि

In the absence of knowledge of longevity, attempts to know other information are futile. So I explain below Arishtas (evils) in order to determine longevity.

। जब तक आयु का हृ।न नहीं होता हे तब तक जातकोक्त समस्त फल (विचार) निष्फल होता हैं। इसलिए आयु ज्ञान के लिये मैं अरिष्टाध्याय ( बालारिष्ट ) को कहता हूँ
