The first Dasa will be of the strongest of the Ascendant, the Sun and the Moon. Then the planets in Angles will be Dasa Lords. Thereafter the planets in Panapharas (2nd, 5th, 8th and 11th Houses) will lord over the major periods, while the last Dasas will be headed by the planets posited in Apoklimas (3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th Houses). If Angles etc. are occupied by more than one planet, the strongest will have its Dasa first. Even, if the strengths of these be identical, then the order will be according to maximum years donated by these planets Granting, that these durations are also similar, then the risings of planets will prevail, Even, if one of the triad, viz. the Ascendant, the Sun and the Moon, is strong, then Satyas scheme, as above should be resorted to. If none is strong enough, then the Dasa scheme of other preceptors may be considered.

लग्नाकंशीतरमीनां यदि १पूर्णबलं भवेत्‌ । तदा सत्यमतं श्रेष्ठमन्यदा त्वपरा दशा ।५॥ लग्न, सूर्य, चन्द्रमा इन तीनों में जो बलवान्‌ हो उसकी दशा प्र थम होती है, पुनः इस बली ग्रह से जो केन्द्र में ग्रह हो उसकी दशा (यदि केन्द्र में अधिक ग्रह हों, तो जो बलवान्‌ हो उसकी तदन्तर उससे अल्प बल वाले ग्रह की इसी क्रम से आगे भी) फिर बली ग्रह से पणफरस्थ ग्रहों की, पुनः इसके बाद आपोक्लिमस्थ ग्रहों की, दशा होती है । यहाँ भी अर्थात्‌ पणफर, आपोक्लिम स्थानों में अधिक ग्रह रहने पर सब से बलवान्‌ की प्रथम, फिर न्यून-त्यून बलवानों की दशा समझनी चाहिये । यद बल में समता हो तो अधिक वर्ष वाले ग्रह की प्रथम, यदि वर्ष में भी समानता हो तो जिस ग्रह का प्रथम उदय हुआ हो उसकी दशा प्रथम होती है । यदि लग्न, सूर्य चन्द्रमा इन तीनों में एक भी बलवान्‌ हो तो सत्याचार्योक्त दशा क्रम ग्रहण करना चाहिये । यदि तीनों निर्बल हों ठो अन्याचार्योक्त दशा क्रम ग्रहण करना चाहिये
