If malefics occupy various Bhavas (other than 6*1, 8th and 12th), they bring harm to the Bhavas, while benefics increase their potency. Malefics are auspicious in evil Houses, i.e. 6th, 8th and 12th, while benefics prove adverse in these Bhavas. According the strength of Yogakaraka planets, their beneficial relationship, friendly/inimical aspects etc. and position in exaltation/debilitation, the (good, or bad) results of Bhavas can vary (i.e. be maximum, medium, or nil).

विविध भावों में पापग्रहों का सामान्य फल। (षष्ठ, अष्टम एवं द्वादश के अतिरिक्त) विभिन्न भावों में पापग्रह हों, तो वे उन भावों को हानि पहुँचाते हैं; इसके विपरीत शुभ ग्रह उन भावों की शक्ति को बढ़ाते हैं। पापग्रह षष्ठ, अष्टम एवं द्वादश — इन त्रिक भावों में शुभ फल देते हैं; और शुभ ग्रह इन भावों में अशुभ फल देते हैं। योगकारक ग्रहों के बल, उनके शुभ सम्बन्ध, मित्र/शत्रु-दृष्टि आदि एवं उच्च/नीच स्थिति के अनुसार भावों के (शुभाशुभ) फलों में न्यूनाधिकता हो सकती है (अर्थात् अधिकतम, मध्यम अथवा शून्य)।
