EFFECTS OF BIRTH IN AQUARIUS ASCENDANT. One born in Aquarius Ascendant will indulge in mean acts, be principal among the men of his race, be foolish, will have blown and sharp nose, be base, irascible, indolent, inclined to enmity, dissatisfied, harsh, be fond of gambling and of base females, will not be helpful to relatives, be agitated, will have checkered prosperity, will acquire wealth, be a talebearer, be crafty, will suffer penury, will face loss of relatives, be prohibited (in social circles), be not agreeable, will acquire great wealth and will honour elders. At birth Aquarius is not an auspicious Ascendant for ever, according to Satyacharya. Yavanas go a step further, stating, that even Aquarius Vargas are not auspicious (at birth), while Chanakya does not consider such divisions inauspicious.

जिसका कुम्भ लग्न में जन्म होता हे वह जातक--नीच कार्य करने वाला, कुल में प्रधान, मूखे, आगे से फटी नाक वाला, नीच, क्रोधो, आलसी, कलहम्रेमी, अप्रसन्न, कठोर, जुआ और नीच दासी का प्रेमी, बन्धु द्रोही, क्षुब्ध, हास बुद्धि वाला, धनागम कर्ता, चुगुल खोर, धूर्त, दरिद्री, बन्धुओ से रहित, संसार में बहिष्कृत, दूसरों से असंमत, उत्कृष्ट सम्पत्ति वाला व गुरुजनों का भक्त होता हैं । सत्याचार्यजी के मत में कुम्भ लग्न में जन्म सर्वथा प्रशस्त नहीं होता है । यवनाचार्यो के मत में किसी भी लग्न में कुम्भ राशि का वर्ग प्रशस्त नहीं होता है, किन्तु चाणक्य ऋषि के मत में कुम्भ राशि के वर्ग में दोष नहीं होता है
