यदि लग्न मंगल या शनि के द्रेष्काण में पड़े, तथा पापग्रह या चन्द्रमा लग्न में हों और शुभ ग्रह द्वितीय अथवा एकादश में हों, तो शिशु का जन्म नाभि-नाल (गर्भनाल) से लिपटा हुआ होता है। यदि सूर्य चतुष्पद राशि में हो तथा अन्य बलवान् ग्रह द्विस्वभाव राशियों में हों, तो यह सूचित करता है कि एक ही नाभि-नाल से बँधे हुए जुड़वाँ शिशुओं का जन्म हुआ है।
