The person at whose birth Ketu is posited in the 7th house will suffer disrespect, seek the company of bad women, will be afflicted by a disease relating to the bowels and will suffer loss of wife and vital power. If Ketu be in the 8th house, the person born will be short-lived, will suffer the separation of his dear friends and engage in quarrels, will meet with injury from a weapon and disappointment in all his undertakings.

यदि सप्तम में केतु हो तो जातक का अपमान होता है। ऐसा जातक व्यभिचारिणी स्त्रियों में रति करता है, स्वयं अपनी पत्नी से वियोग हो, अंतड़ियों का रोग हो और धातु (वीर्य) रोग भी हो। हमारा अनुभव है कि जिसके सप्तम में केतु हो उसकी पत्नी रोगिणी रहती है। यदि अष्टम में केतु हो तो इष्ट (प्रियजनों) का विरह हो, कलह करे और जातक स्वल्पायु हो। अष्टम में केतु वाले को प्रायः शस्त्र से चोट लगती है और उसके सब उद्योगों में विरोध होता है।
