If at a birth Saturn occupies his exaltation or own house identical with the Lagna, the person concerned will be on a par with the king, a chief or mayor of a city. If Saturn should be rising in any other Rasi, the person born will be afflicted with sorrow and misery from his very childhood and will suffer from indigence. He will be slovenly and indolent.

अब शनि का विविध-भावगत-फल बताते हैं। यदि शनि अपनी उच्चराशि (तुला) या स्वराशि (मकर या कुम्भ) में स्थित होकर लग्न में हो तो राजा के समान किसी देश या नगर का स्वामी हो। ऊपर जो तीन राशियाँ बताई गई हैं इनके अलावा यदि किसी राशि में स्थित शनि लग्न में हो तो बचपन में दुःख से परिपीड़ित हो और बाद में भी दरिद्री, दुःखी, मलिन और आलसी हो।
