The Trikona shodhana (rectification) should be done by writing the rekhas in the Ashtakavargas of the Sun etc., under the rasis Aries etc.. Amongst the trikona rasis, the rasi which has lesser number of rekhas should be allotted rekhas arrived at by deducting its number of rekhas from the total number of rekhas of the three trikona rasis. No trikona-shodhana is necessary if any of the trikona rasi has no rekha. Shodhana should be done if all the three of them have equal number of rekhas, that is, a zero should be written against all of them. Thereafter Ekadhipatya Shodhana should be done in the manner described later.

कर्कवृश्चिकमीनाश्च त्रिकोणा स्युः परस्परम्‌ । अधोऽधः सर्वराशीनामष्टवर्गफलं न्यसेत्‌ । । 3 । । त्रिकोणेषु च यन्यूनं तत्तुल्यं त्रिषु शोधयेत्‌ । एकस्मिन्‌ भवने शून्यं तत्‌ त्रिकोणं न शोधयेत्‌ । । 4 । । कर्क, वृश्चिक, मीन — ये राशियाँ परस्पर त्रिकोण राशियाँ हैं । त्रिकोण शोधन की विधि : मेषादि 12 राशियों के नीचे अष्टक वर्ग रेखा संख्या लिखें । प्रत्येक राशि के तीन त्रिकोणों में से जिस राशि में सबसे कम रेखा हो उन्हीं कम रेखाओं की संख्या को सब त्रिकोणों में से घटा लें । यदि किसी त्रिकोण राशि में 0 रेखा है तो कुछ भी नहीं घटाएं ।
