Fear or danger from the king (government), getting inflicted with injuries with some weapon, bleeding gulms, dysentry etc., will be the evil effects at the commencement of the Dasa, if Saturn be in the 8th or the 12th from the Ascendant or be associated with malefics in his sign of debilitation. There will be danger from thieves etc., going away from the house land, mental agony etc. in the middle portion of the Dasa. The last part of the Dasa will yield beneficial results.

तथाष्टमे व्यये मन्दे नीचे वा पापसंयुते । तदभुक्त्यादौ राजभीतिर्विषशस्त्रादिपीडनम्‌ ।।4।। रक्तस्नावो गुल्मरोगो ्यतिसारादिपीडनम्‌ । मध्ये चौरादि भीतिश्च. देशत्यागो मनोरुजः ।।5।। अन्ते शुभकरी चैव शनेरन्तर्दशा द्विज ! । दितीयद्यूननाथे तु हयपमूृत्युर्भविष्यति ।।6।। दोषस्य परिहारार्थं मृत्युंजयमनुं जपेत्‌ । तस्माच्छान्तिमवाप्नोति शंकरस्य प्रसादतः ।।7।। यदि शनि 8.12 मे या नीचगत या पापयुक्त हो तो अन्तर्दशारम्म मे राज भय, विषशस्त्रादि पीडा, रक्त बहना, गुल्म (पथरी, अन्दरूनी फोड़ या जिगर बढ़ना, दस्त आदि होते है। दशा मध्य में चोर भय, स्थान यादेश का त्याग, मनोविकार होते है । अन्त मेँ शनि में शनि की अन्तर्दशा शुम फल देती है। यदि शनि 2.7 भावेश हो तो अपमृत्यु से बचने के लिए मृत्युंजय मन्त्र का जप करने से अनिष्ट निवारण होता है।
