PATERNAL HAPPINESS: I now explain the effects of the 10th house. Listen to these, O Maitreya, in the words of Brahma, Garga and others. If the 10th lord is strong and be in exaltation or in own Rāśi/Navāṃśa, the native will derive extreme paternal happiness, will enjoy fame and will perform good deeds.

यशस्वी योग: यदि दशमेश बलवान् हो — अपने उच्च, अपनी राशि, या उच्च-नवांश में हो — तो व्यक्ति को पिता का सुख मिलता है तथा वह शुभ कर्म करने वाला यशस्वी होता है। यदि दशमेश निर्बल हो — तो जातक प्रायः कर्म करने में शिथिल (कर्म-वैकल्य-युक्त) होता है। यदि राहु त्रिकोण या केन्द्र में हो (विशेषतः केन्द्रेश-त्रिकोण के साथ) — तो मनुष्य ज्योतिष्टोमादि-याग (धार्मिक कार्य) करने वाला होता है।
