SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR JUPITER'S ASPECTS: Deduct the longitude of Jupiter from that of the planet aspected by him. If the resultant sum is 3 Rāśis & c or 7 Rāśis & c, halve the degrees etc. (ignoring Rāśis) and increase it by 45. If the sum is 4 Rāśis & c or 8 Rāśis & c, the degrees etc. (ignoring Rāśis) be subtracted from 60. This will be the aspectual value. The sum being in conformity with others than these be treated as stated earlier.

(गुरु-संस्कार:) यदि द्रष्टा गुरु हो — और अन्तर 3 या 7 राशि शेष बचे, तो अंशों के आधे में 45 (शर-वेद = 5+4) जोड़ने से स्पष्ट दृष्टि (त्रिसप्तभे तु जीवस्य भागार्धं शरवेदयुक्‌)। यदि 4 या 8 राशि शेष बचे तो भुक्तांशों को 60 (खरस = 0+6) में से घटाने पर स्पष्ट दृष्टि होती है (द्विगुणैस्तु लवैश्चोनाः खरसाश्चतुरष्टभे)।
