Performance of Pooja on the holy Kalasha of the idol of the deities of tithi (in case of tithi gandanta), Nakshatra (in case of Nakshatra Gandanta) and Lagna (in case of Lagna Gandanta) made of 16 masas, 8 masas or 4 masas of gold as may be possible followed by havana and abhisheka according to procedure already described earlier. At the end as many Brahmins as may be possible within one's means should be fed. These remedial measures will ensure long life, good health and prosperity for the child.

नक्षत्राधिपते रूपं कृत्वा वस्त्रदयान्वितम्‌ — सुवर्णेन तदर्धेन यथावित्तं द्विजोतम ! — तिथिभेशादि रूपं च कृत्वा स्वस्त्ययनादितः । । 10-11 । नक्षत्र मूर्ति के लिए 16 माशे या 8 माशे की मूर्ति या सामर्थ्यानुसार कम अधिक तोल की मूर्ति बना । तिथिगण्ड में तिथि स्वामी की व लग्नगण्ड में राशि स्वामी की मूर्ति रखें । तब स्वस्तिवाचनादि कार्य यथाविधि करके 16 उपचारों से पूजा, हवन आदि सब कार्य होगा ।
