SUN MAHĀDAŚĀ — FAVOURABLE: During the Daśā of the Sun, there is acquisition of wealth, great felicity and honours from Government, if at the time of birth the Sun be in his own sign, in his sign of exaltation, in a kendra, in the 11th, be associated with the lord of the 9th or the 10th and strong in his Varga. The native will be blessed with a son (children) if the Sun be with the lord of the 5th. He will acquire elephants and other kinds of wealth if the Sun be associated with the lord of the 2nd. He will enjoy comforts of conveyances if the Sun be associated with the lord of the 4th. He attains a high position like that of Army Chief by the beneficence of the king (Government) and enjoys all kinds of happiness. Thus during the Daśā of a strong (and favourable) Sun, there are acquisitions of clothes, agricultural products, wealth, honours and conveyances etc.

यदि जन्म समय में सूर्य अपने उच्च, मूलत्रिकोण, परमोच्च, स्वक्षेत्र में हो या केन्द्र त्रिकोण या लाभ स्थान में हो तथा नवमेश या दशमेश से युक्त हो या अन्यथा षड्बली हो तो उसकी महादशा में महान् सुख, धनलाभ, राज-सम्मान, वाहनों का विशेष सुख होता है । यदि पंचमेश से युक्त हो तो पुत्र लाभ होता है । धनेश के साथ सम्बन्ध हो तो बड़े वाहनों के सुख से युक्त समृद्धि होती है । राजा की प्रसन्नता, धन की वृद्धि, सेनापतित्व, सुख, शक्ति व सामर्थ्य में वृद्धि होती है ।
