JUPITER MAHĀDAŚĀ — UNFAVOURABLE: Should Jupiter be in his sign of debilitation, combust, in association with malefics or in the 6th or the 8th, there will be during his Daśā loss of residential premises, anxiety, distress to children, loss of cattle, and pilgrimage (visit to religious places). The Daśā will give some unfavourable effects at its commencement only. During the later part of the Daśā, there will be good effects like gain of wealth, awards from recognition by Government.

यदि गुरु नीचगत, अस्तंगत, मारकेशाष्टमेशादि पाप-ग्रहों से युक्त हो, अथवा 8.12 भावों में गया हो तो इसकी दशा में पद व स्थान का नाश, मनस्ताप, पुत्रपीड़ा, भयप्राप्ति, पशु व धन की हानि, तीर्थयात्रा होती है । दशारम्भ में कष्ट, चौपायों से लाभ-योग, दशा-मध्य व अन्त में सुख, राज-सम्मान व वैभव मिलता है ।
