JUPITER MAHĀDAŚĀ — FAVOURABLE: If the Jupiter be in his sign of exaltation, in his own sign, in his Mūlatrikoṇa, in the 10th, the 5th or the 9th, in his own or exalted Navāṁśa, there will be during his Daśā acquisition of kingdom (attainment of high political or administrative position in Government), great felicity, recognition by Government, acquisition of conveyances and clothes, devotion to deities and Brahmins, happiness in respect of his wife and children and success in performance of religious sacrifices (oblations).

यदि गुरु स्वोच्च, स्वक्षेत्र में या केन्द्र-त्रिकोण में, एकादश स्थान में, मूलत्रिकोण राशिगत होकर लाभ स्थान में, या उच्च नवांश या स्वनवांश में हो तो इसकी दशा में राज्य-लाभ, प्रभूत सुख, राज्य-सम्मान, हाथी-घोड़ों जैसी सवारियों का लाभ, देवता व ब्राह्मणों का पूजन, स्त्री-पुत्रादि का सुख, वाहन-वस्त्र का लाभ, यज्ञादि मांगलिक कार्यों की सफलता, वेदान्त विद्या में रुचि, राजा की कृपा से इष्ट-सिद्धि, पालकी आदि प्रतिष्ठित सवारी की प्राप्ति, कल्याण-सुख, स्त्री-पुत्रादि का लाभ, अन्नदान की सामर्थ्य होती है ।
