MOON MAHĀDAŚĀ — FAVOURABLE: O Brahmin! after describing the effects of the Daśā of the Sun in brief, I will now come to the effects of the Vimśottarī Daśā of the Moon. During the Daśā of the Moon from its commencement to the end, there will be opulence and glory, good fortune, gain of wealth, auspicious functions at home, dawn of fortune, attainment of a high position in Government (acquisition of kingdom), acquisition of conveyance, clothes, birth of children and acquisition of cattle, should the Moon be in her sign of exaltation, in her own sign, in kendra, in the 11th, 9th or 5th, be associated or aspected by benefics, be fully powerful and be associated with the lord of the 10th, the 9th or the 4th. There will be extraordinary gains of wealth and luxuries if such a Moon be in the 2nd house.

यदि चन्द्रमा उच्चगत, स्वक्षेत्री हो, केन्द्र त्रिकोण या एकादश भाव में स्थित हो, शुभ ग्रह से युक्त हो, पूर्ण चन्द्रमा हो या षड्बली हो, या 9.10 भावेश से युक्त हो तो समस्त ऐश्वर्य की प्राप्ति, धन-धान्य व सौभाग्य की वृद्धि होती है । घर में शुभ कार्य, वाहन का लाभ, राज-दर्शन, समी प्रयत्नों की सफलता, मनोरथों की पूर्ति होती है । मित्रों व स्वामी की कृपा से भाग्यवृद्धि, राज्यप्राप्ति, महान् सुख, विशिष्ट वाहनों की प्राप्ति, श्वेत वस्त्रों का लाभ होता है । इस दशा में पुत्र लाभ, सन्तोष, घर में गोधन, पशुधन की वृद्धि होती है ।
